Clueless

The subway is a good place to observe the behavior of people who are unaware, despite all evidence to the contrary, that they share the world with 6 billion other people.
This morning the train was really crowded, every seat full, people standing packed in like sardines.
And this one person, absorbed thoroughly in whatever she was reading, had parked her lunchbox and a grocery bag containing a box of cereal in the seat next to her.
I’m sure glad her cornflakes had a place to sit.

Oh dear, I’m not as patient as you are!
I would have taken that bag in my hands, placed it on top of her lap or her head or on whatever part of her body you feel most like doing it, and then proceeded to take the seat. If she then dared to give me an ugly look I would have given her a nice speech about common sense.
